A review of Dhaam Dhoom-majesty

The story goes like this....

For the initial occasion in the screen ‘Jayam Ravi’ has been showed as a well educated, handsome guy. He aims to become a surgeon and he achieves it. The hero gets a fair chance to go to Russia to represent India. Its week long doctor's conference and 5 other young doctors were also selected along with the hero, by the government. The heroin (Shenba) happens to be the same village girl in which the hero's sister resides with her husband. They both meet and fall in love. In spite of few conflicts the hero's parents agree to the marriage. The hero is ready to marry his beloved after his return to India from the Russia trip.

The hero now reaches Moscow and finishes off all his immigration procedures. He meets Anna (a model) and unknowingly she drops her jacket next to the hero. One fine day, he discovers Anna and returns her coat. In the meantime, the medical conference takes place. In order to celebrate its success the whole team head to a club. The hero and the model have an enjoyable time in the club. Anna takes lot of liquor. The hero takes her to his flat where they settle down and sleep. The next day morning, the hero is cruelly pulled onto the floor by the Russian police and the reason is that Anna is assassinated on her sofa.

The entire scenario around the hero changes in a flash. He gets into jail. The language, people and the surroundings are new and confusing to the hero. At this time Lakshmi Rai is appointed as defendant lawyer. The Indian government sends Jayaram to Gautham's rescue. By this time the lawyer falls in love with the hero, but holds back her feelings when she comes to know about Shenba. The hero escapes from the police and with the help of the lawyer decide to find out those who have misled them. With the ultimate wicked being discovered as Jayaram.

At the climax, Jayaram reveals that Anna was a smuggler from Chennai to Russia. Soon after Anna had changed her ways and was ready to tell the police about Jayaram's drug dealing, but before it happen Jayaram along with his gang killed her off. Finally, Jayaram is killed by the police and the hero is set free to reunite with Shenba for their wedding.

My comments about the film:

The film is not so sensational. It’s a usual ‘Jeeva’ film. It resembles ‘Unnalae Unnalae’ in many places. ‘Anbae yen anbae’ song is rocking and pleasing to the ears. The film loses logic at many places. Screenplay is excellent. If Jeeva was there he would have added some classiness and excitement at the end. On the whole, the film could have taken much better.
