What a match to begin the IPL 2010 season!!! A treat for KKR fans. The opening ceremony of IPL 2010 took place at DY Patil Stadium which was followed by a match between KKR and Deccan Chargers. The atmosphere in the ground was electrifying. Gilly won the toss and elected to field. Vass, who is out of international cricket struck with the 1st ball of the match. Ganguly, who came in next, followed Thiwari in the same over. Two more wickets went down in quick succession. It was Mathews and Shah who came up with some brilliant performance and took the team to a reasonable score to defend. KKR was 161 for 4 at the end of 20 overs. Deccan Chargers were charging in the initial few overs of their chase. Once wickets started to fall, it stumbled like a pack of cards. Ganguly who was out for a duck, showed his class in the field in the form of captaincy. It was KKR who held their nerves till the end and won the match by 11 runs. KKR wins- Dada rules IPL 2010.
